I think that one of the best combinations of flavors is the combo of peppermint and chocolate. These two flavors really remind me of the holidays, and that’s because as soon as December comes around I’m whipping up batches of home made peppermint bark to give to my family and friends! You can’t go wrong with peppermint bark, it requires few ingredients and it’s pretty easy to make a large amount all at once.
Ingredients:
-Candy canes (about 2-3 crushed)
-Milk chocolate (1 bag)
-White chocolate (1 bag)
*I use Wilton candy melts sold at Michaels
Prep:
-Crush candy canes until they are broken up into small pieces.
-Place a sheet of wax paper onto a large cookie sheet.
-Melt your white chocolate and your milk chocolate in two separate microwavable bowls.
Spread the milk chocolate evenly onto your wax paper, make sure it’s a thick enough layer so that you can’t see the wax paper underneath. Once it’s an even layer, sprinkle half of your peppermint flakes on top. Put into fridge for 20-30 minutes, until chocolate is completely hardened.
Now that your first layer of chocolate is solid, when we spread the white chocolate, the two won’t mix! Pour your melted white chocolate onto your first layer and spread carefully until the milk chocolate layer is completely covered. Sprinkle with the rest of your peppermint flakes. Put back in the fridge for another 20-30 minutes.
Break into pieces and enjoy!
I also made peppermint bark lollipops by using snowflake and Christmas tree lollipop molds. Also a great treat to give out for the holidays!

I absolutely LOVE peppermint bark! I was planning to make some for our party this weekend and I had no idea it was this easy. I would’ve been making it LONG ago! I’ll let you know how it goes!
