Happy Monday! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.. staycations are my favorite kind of vacation! Living in South Florida, you don’t need to go very far to find paradise😎. We recently got invited to enjoy a weekend staycation at the beautiful Pelican Grand Beach Resort located in Fort Lauderdale and I’m so excited to share our trip with you all! Keep reading to find out what we did, what we ate, and of course what I wore!

The first night of our stay we had dinner reservations at the hotel restaurant OCEAN2000. We had heard great things about this restaurant, so we were excited to check it out! We started out with Oysters Rockefeller (OMG! soo good) then we each got seafood dishes for our entrees. My entree was the Soy Miso Mahi Mahi. It had a delicious curry sauce and did not disappoint! My husband loved his Seared Sesame-Chili Ahi Tuna as well. Yum!
We ended the dinner with some creme brûlée cheesecake. OH my goodness! So delicious. Definitely recommend dining at OCEAN2000 if you’re visiting the Fort Lauderdale area.
I’m not going to lie.. When we went to bed I was already excited for room service breakfast the next morning! Haha. Does anyone else get excited for breakfast the night before?!
It ended up being amazing!! We both got pancakes, eggs and bacon. There’s nothing like in room dining on vacation 🙂 at least for one morning of the trip!

After breakfast I had the opportunity to check out the PURE Spa. The spa is located on the very top floor of the resort so the view is absolutely breathtaking! The room shown below can be rented out for special events, bridal parties, etc. Can you imagine getting ready for your wedding in this stunning space?!
I had the most incredible experience at the spa. I was treated to a lovely massage and then got to relax in the coolest hanging chairs overlooking the ocean. The whole experience was truly incredible! From the service to the products (they use all natural products by the way!), to the ambiance etc. It was all spot on. I highly recommend checking out the Pure Spa!
The natural light in this space was unreal! I couldn’t get over those big windows and that view. It was just stunning!

Just when I thought the day couldn’t get any better, it did! After my morning at the spa, it was time to hit the lazy river. My husband and I had so much fun relaxing together in the lazy river (have I ever looked happier? haha!) and hanging out poolside.
When we got hungry we hopped into the O2K Lounge. This restaurant/bar is inside the resort right as you exit the pool area. It’s so convenient to grab a quick bite or a drink! The food here was delicious. We went back for happy hour & dinner later on that evening as well!

Sunday came and it was unfortunately time to say goodbye to paradise. But first, coffee! We had to hit up Emporium before the short drive home. The Emporium is an old fashioned ice cream parlor & they also serve coffee. I got a delicious vanilla latte & enjoyed this stunning view one last time.
Thank you SO much to Pelican Grand Beach Resort for hosting us for the weekend! Let me know if you guys have any questions about our stay or need some Fort Lauderdale recommendations!! xoxo
