The other weekend my husband and I took a short drive down to South Beach for a tropical staycation at the newly renovated Cardozo Hotel! Living in South Florida our entire lives, we’ve actually only stayed on the beach a couple of times so it was so fun to be a tourist in our city for a change! The Cardozo Hotel is located across the street from the beach, right on 13th and Ocean Drive. This is a prime location if you plan to enjoy your time at the beach or walk around South Beach. The hotel is owned by Gloria & Emilio Estefan and just underwent a huge 15 million dollar renovation that took about 4 years to complete. Let’s just say the interiors are to die for! Lots of white, modern details with gold accents. It’s just beautiful!
We relaxed here and enjoyed a glass of wine one night and it was so magical with all the bistro lights and comfortable seating! Definitely recommend enjoying a cocktail here after dinner if you visit.

The inside of our suite was beautiful! It had a living room area with a tv, a separate full bath and a beautiful view of South Beach. They’re a pet friendly hotel too, so they had out some food bowls just in case we had brought a pup along. Such a nice touch!
The second bathroom was attached to the beautiful master bedroom and had this gorgeous bath tub. I enjoyed a bath the last night of our stay and it was everything! It’s a huge, luxurious bath tub. The nicest one I’ve seen in a hotel for sure!

The master bed was soo large and comfortable! Both my husband and I also really loved the tile backsplash behind the bed and the herringbone design on the tile floor. There were so many gorgeous details in this room!

To beat the heat that afternoon we grabbed some ice cream. We didn’t have to go far because we found a place right next to the hotel called Icy N Spicy. They had the most delicious ice cream ever! We got oreo ice cream with all pink sprinkles.. yum!

The first night we dined at BiCE Cucina (located on the first floor of the Cardozo Hotel) We both ordered the pistachio crusted tuna filet over risotto and OMG it was so good!) They brought us complementary limoncello after dinner and we felt like we were back in Italy on our honeymoon 🙂
On Saturday we headed to The Dreamer Miami for brunch. They have the best matcha and avocado toast!! It’s also just a short drive away from the hotel so we had to visit before doing some shopping on Lincoln Road.

Later on that evening we dined at another close by restaurant called Lario’s On the Beach. This restaurant is also owned by the Estefan’s. We got bacon wrapped plantains for an appetizer and we couldn’t get over how amazing they were!
The last morning we walked the beach and saw all the colorful lifeguard stands. This one is very close to the hotel and is soo cute! After that we rented some chairs and umbrella and just enjoyed some relaxation before heading home. This was seriously the perfect relaxing getaway!
