I just about fainted when I got the email from Create & Cultivate back in November asking me if I’d speak on a panel at their first ever Style Summit here in South Florida. I had never done anything like that before and have such a fear of public speaking! I was so honored they asked me and knew that I had to say YES no matter how terrified I was. This was huge! When I started my blog 6 years ago, I never imagined I would be asked to speak on a panel let alone be in company with Caitlin from Southern Curls & Pearls, model Rocky Barnes and many other talented ladies.
After the initial freak out, I then realized I’d also have to figure out what to wear! This was equally as daunting, haha. I ordered a bunch of dresses but this one stood out from the rest. I loved the cut out details and knew it was going to comfortable to sit in on stage. The morning of the conference, a cold front had come through and it was COLD (for South Florida anyway.) I opted to wear one of my favorite moto jackets draped on my shoulders and am so glad I did. I stayed warm and felt comfortable!
As nervous as I was, I had such a great time! I’m so glad I didn’t let fear get in the way of an amazing opportunity. I could of so easily said no and would of regretted it later. Have you ever done anything that pushed you outside of your comfort zone? Was it worth it? I’d love to hear from you guys! As always, thank you for reading and for your support.
