My Favorite Purchases of 2016

Happy New Year! After taking some time off to enjoy the holidays, I’m back and ready to take on 2017. Today I wanted to share a round up of some of my favorite purchases from 2016. Sorry that it’s a long post, I just didn’t want to leave out a thing! EYE CREAM: This eye cream really is worth the splurge. I’ve noticed a big difference in the fine lines around my eyes since I started using it about 8 months ago. FYI: You can get a sample from the La Mer counter in any department store that carries the brand!

SILK PILLOWCASE: This one was actually a gift from Mike this past Christmas (aka like a week ago) and it’s already 100% a favorite. I can’t wait to go to sleep tonight so that I can lay my head on it, haha. It’s truly amazing and so good for your hair and skin!

FACE CLEANSER: I use so many products from this probiotic skincare line but I have to say the face cleanser has had the biggest impact on my skin. I use it morning and night and it makes my skin so soft. It also fully takes off every bit of my makeup which I love!

DRY TEXTURE SPRAY: My hair doesn’t hold a curl very well (the Florida humidity doesn’t help me out either) but this texture spray really helps the curls stay! I spray all of my hair before I curl it and afterwards I’ll spray a bit more to “fluff” it up. It not only helps my curls stay but It adds so much texture and volume!

LASH SERUM: I didn’t believe the hype at first but now I do 100%. This lash serum is definitely worth the splurge if you’re looking to grow your lashes! It actually works! I’ve seen such a big difference and am a huge fan of the eyebrow one as well.

EYESHADOW PALETTE: I find myself reaching for this palette most days, and that says a lot because this girl has all the eyeshadow palettes! I just got a few more palettes for Christmas and this one is still my favorite. It has such a great selection of mattes and shimmers!

NUDE LIPSTICK: This has been my favorite nude lipstick this past year. I usually put “striptease” on top & it’s seriously the most perfect combination!

CURLING WAND: Not only is this curling wand pretty (hello, white & rose gold!) but it works wonders. This wand changed my hair curling game, you guys. Its comes with three different wands so you can switch it up depending on what kind of curl you’re looking to achieve (I usually use the largest size barrel!)

HAIR RINGS: I picked up a pack of these and haven’t used any other hair tie since! They hold my hair so well and really don’t make any creases. They’re pretty cute too, which I admit is the real reason I purchased them in the first place.

FACIAL TREATMENT: I received a sample of this in the mail awhile back and once I ran out, I purchased a full size bottle. It’s a pretty penny but I’ve seen such a difference in my skin. It makes it look really glowy and helps with my cystic acne as well (which is hard to do!)

SUEDE MOTO JACKET: Hands down one of my favorite clothing purchases of 2016. This jacket is unbelievably great quality, super cute and under $200. If I could afford to buy it in every color, I would!

LEGGINGS: The only leggings I wear to my Orange Theory classes. They’re so so comfortable! The high waist band also makes them really flattering.

LINK BRACELET: I love mixing high end jewelry with fashion jewelry! I almost always am wearing this link bracelet mixed in with my David Yurman pieces.

GOLD SUNGLASSES: In 2016 I discovered this sunglass brand and haven’t bought any other brands since. These gold aviator glasses feel and look like they’re designer but are only $60. They’re oversized too which I love so much!

STUDDED FLATS: These have definitely been my favorite pair of flats this past year. They’re neutral so I wear them with everything! I’d really like to invest in another color this year that’s how much I love them.

SNEAKERS: My go-to sneakers for OT class and errands. This year I want to expand my sneaker collection!

DENIM: If you’ve been following along for awhile then you probably know just how much I wear these jeans! I snagged them during the #nSale in July and they’re still my favorite pair. I’ve washed them so many times and they’re still perfect!

CRISS CROSS TEE: I have this tee in a few different color. It’s the perfect basic t-shirt and I just love the criss cross detail in the front!

CROSSBODY BAG: It’s hard to choose a favorite handbag but this bag has definitely been my favorite this past year! It’s the perfect size, the color goes with everything I could possibly wear and is such a staple!

LEOPARD PILLOW: This pillow was on my wish list for quite some time. I bit the bullet when we were getting our living room together and am so glad I did! It adds such a fun print to our very neutral space.

MARBLE SHELF: I have two of these shelves in my office and they are such great quality! You would never guess they are only $59. They’re so sturdy and elegant.

STICKY NOTES: Marble sticky notes! Do I even need to say more?! They come in a package of three stacks & never leave my desk.

COFFEE TABLE BOOK: I had to have this Kate Spade book when it was released & it turns out its an adorable read and makes the perfect coffee table book!

VASE: This is my go-to vase anytime I pick up flowers for the house. It’s the perfect size and the gold polka dots add such a cute touch.

CHIC PEN: Every girl needs a pretty pen to keep in her purse or office & this one is too cute. I have a few of them in different colors and they feel and look like really expensive pens!

COFFEE TABLE/OTTOMAN: We recently just purchased this piece for our living room and I’m in love! It really helped pull the space together and is such a steal. Cozy & functional, yes please!

MAIL ORGANIZER: This is the perfect accessory for the top of your desk. It’s been so helpful to organize loose papers and bills I need to pay etc. I love the look of acrylic desk accessories!
