Valentino Flats Review

Hi friends! I get so many questions from you all, asking if the Valentino Flats are actually comfortable and if they’re worth the splurge or not so I thought I’d share a full review on them after owning/wearing them for a few months now! I also thought I’d share a few things I consider before splurging on designer items.

My first impression of the flats after receiving them in the mail from Luisaviaroma were that they felt a little stiff but after breaking them in I no longer feel that way about them. I’m actually VERY impressed with how comfortable they are. I find them to be more comfortable than my Tory Burch Reva Flats, which have always been a favorite of mine. I will say that they are by no means walking shoes though. If you plan to walk the mall for a few hours, choose another pair.

I found after walking around in them for a few hours straight, that I started getting blisters on the back of my ankles. Most days though, if I’m running errands or going out to lunch they don’t give me any problems. All in all, I think they are worth the splurge. I get a lot more use out of the flats than the Rockstud heels to be honest. The fit: they do fit true to size but are sized in european sizes, so be sure to know what your size translates to.

Sorry this post is getting a little long but I also wanted to share a few questions I ask myself before splurging on a designer item..

1. Has this item been on my wish list for longer than 6 months?
2. Is this an item that I can wear often? say once a week maybe?
3. Is the item in a practical color?
4. What do the reviews say about the item?
5. Is there a return policy and or warranty for the item?

I tend to choose neutral colors when I splurge on an item. You probably won’t see me with a hot pink YSL any time soon. Do I think it’s cute? YES but not at all practical (for me, anyway!) I also much prefer to splurge on handbags and shoes. I don’t typically splurge on a piece of clothing. I would splurge on a coat if I lived in a colder climate but it’s not practical here in South Florida. I hope this post helped answer some of your questions in regards to the Valentino flats!
