Happy Friday! It’s been such a great week getting back into the swing of things. I feel refreshed and have so many ideas for the blog after taking some time off for our wedding/honeymoon. With that being said, I’m also looking forward to the long holiday weekend ahead!! Does anyone have any fun plans for the Fourth of July? We’re working on some things for our house and spending time with family.
When planning our honeymoon, we found that we wanted to go to so many places but didn’t want to stress ourselves out with travel/booking so many hotels. Ultimately we decided some places would be great to visit for a “day trip” thanks to the amazing high speed trains in Europe. Venice was one of our day trips- we left Florence in the morning and arrived in Venice within an hour and half with the full day to explore.
We had so much fun getting lost in the streets of Venice (literally! We didn’t have a map and maps on the phone doesn’t work well there) and had no particular agenda for the day. One thing we knew we wanted to do was take a gondola ride. Expensive, but so worth it for your first time in Venice! Venice is so beautiful and unlike any place either of us had visited. Hope you enjoyed a peek into our day in Venice, stay tuned for Rome and Amalfi next week 🙂 thank you for reading! xo
