Tassel Dress + Proposal Story

I wore this adorable tassel dress on the last day of our Keys trip two weeks ago. When I saw it online, I knew it would be perfect to bring along on the trip! It’s actually more of a coral color in person but it looks orange in these photos for some reason. I especially love that it can be worn as a dress or a beach cover up!

You might recognize this outfit from this photo. My sneaky fiancé had something up his sleeve during this shoot! If you’re interested, I shared our proposal story at the bottom of this post. Each morning of the trip we woke up at sunrise to take outfit photos for the blog. So when our alarms went off on Sunday, we got up and walked around the resort to look for a pretty location to shoot. There was a dock Mike wanted to shoot at with the perfect amount of sunlight but there were a handful of fisherman in the background getting ready to go out for the day.

We opted for a little area on the side of a restaurant to take the pictures. I was too tired to keep looking so I told him it would be fine! At the end of the shoot (after I had him take a million photos of my flamingo sandals 😉 ) I told him that I thought we got all the shots we needed and we should go get some breakfast.

I started to walk away and then heard him say “we might have one more shot” I was confused because I thought for sure we got everything and I was starting to get hangry (ha!) So I turned around and saw he was down on his knee. I don’t remember much after that but it was such a special moment. It felt like a dream and I couldn’t be more excited to marry this guy!
