I had been wanting to try an at-home gel manicure for awhile and after reading reviews, I decided to go with the Sally Hansen Salon Gel Polish Starter Kit in the color “Red My Lips”. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to do! My manicure lasted about a week with no chips, and remained so shiny the entire time. The directions the kit provides are pretty straight forward, but I did want to share a few photos and tips!
{curing the base coat}
*Cure each coat for 60-90 seconds, instead of the 30 seconds the directions say. I found 30 seconds wasn’t enough!
*Don’t touch your nails throughout the process because they will feel sticky, the top coat and the alcohol wipe will fix that problem at the end.
{applying the second coat of the polish, after curing the first coat for 60 secs)
{apply the top coat, cure for 60-90 seconds & then use the alcohol wipe}

i def need to try this, rather than paying 2 times the price when i go to the salon.
i tried this kit and i love it i cured my nails longer than it told me too i got the color shell we dance
I really want to try the gel nail polish! Does is pick off? I have a bad habit of doing that & I need to stop! lol
