For the past couple of months, I’ve swapped my usual bowl of cereal in the morning for a green smoothie. I’ve found that I have so much more energy and feel full longer throughout the day. I’ve tried several different recipe’s and have even combined some recipes to create this one, which is my favorite! I’ve recently added the chia seeds because I’ve been hearing how good they are for you.
1 cup of spinach (pressed down)
3 large kale leaves (without the veins)
1 1/4 cup orange juice (or apple juice if you prefer)
1 tablespoon flax seeds (optional)
1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
1 banana
6-7 ice cubes

Your smoothie looks delish! I’ve been juicing those similar ingredients, maybe adding in a green pepper and a green apple, along with one carrot for sweetness. Some days I crave it, some days I can’t stand the taste of something so…”natural” haha. But this really is great! You encourage me to keep at it!

Yum! I drink a smoothie each morning and have been experimenting with different flavors– I do a similar one but add pineapple, mango, and coconut water. I’ll try this one tomorrow. Pinning now!
