I saw this picture on Pinterest the other day and It inspired me to polka dot my own nails! In the past I’ve used nail pens but those are really hard to use in my opinion (especially with your non-dominant hand.) I found that dipping one end of a toothpick into the polish and then dabbing small dots onto my nails was a fairly simple method to follow. I ended up doing a different design of dots on each nail, I really loved how they came out! It didn’t come out perfect by any means but I think with practice, that the next time it will look much better!
{What you need: two nail polishes or more & a toothpick.} These two nail polishes are the one’s that I used but there are so many color combinations that would look amazing!
First: I painted my nails with a coat of my butter polish & let them dry for a couple minutes. Then I did a second coat of the polish and let that dry for about 5-10 minutes (no one likes sticky polish that doesn’t dry!)
Second: I used the brush of my Essie polish and brushed some of that onto a cover of a magazine to use for the polka dots (that was seriously the best way I could think of doing it.)
Third: Polka dot your nails as your heart desires and let them dry completely. Follow with a coat of clear polish!
