This past week has been pretty intense, and left me with zero time to blog but I’m so happy to be back blogging today! Last week we had to put our 12 year old Yorkie to sleep, she was acting really sick so we took her to the vet and long story short, her kidneys were failing and it was time.
While my family was dealing with the loss of our little pup, my dad had a heart attack. Thankfully, he survived and is recovering at home now. He has a long road of recovery ahead but they say his heart should fully heal with time. I’ve never been so thankful in my entire life! When something happens like that it really puts everything in perspective.
I only wish that I could always remember the things that matter the most. Hopefully this is a good reminder for you, if you sweat the small things like I do. My dad was given a second chance at life, when it could of so easily been taken away from him at that moment. It’s important that we appreciate the things we have and the lives we’ve been given!
If you follow me on twitter, you’ve probably already seen my tweets about all of this– and thank you SO much to those who prayed & sent me nice tweets and messages. Yikes this post was so serious, I swear I have some happy posts up my sleeve for this week!!! Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend, xoxo.

Kristin!! I have been meaning to catch up on blog reading lately and finally got to it tonight. So glad your dad is ok. This must have been one of the toughest days of your life. I can’t imagine dealing with putting my dog down AND my dad having a heart attack. So so so so thankful he is ok and is healing well though 🙂 That is good news, and yes….it totally puts things in perspective!
