Caprese is a staple appetizer that I love to whip up when I’m expecting company or for a family gathering. It’s a quick and easy appetizer and It tastes delicious! I made this to go with the chicken marsala dinner that I posted about last week. Caprese is also pretty healthy when it comes to appetizers. Mozzarella cheese is one of the healthier cheeses and ofcourse the tomato and the olive oil is fantastic for you.
What you need:
Block of fresh mozzarella cheese
One large tomato
Balsamic
Olive oil
Basil (dry or fresh)
Oregano (dry or fresh)
{Cut fairly thick slices of mozzarella & tomato}
{Add your spices: basil & oregano}
{Pour your olive oil evenly}
{Pour your balsamic- a smaller amount than the olive oil}
{all done and time to eat!}
..a little messy but it’s worth it!!

Sounds delicious. Never tried it though. Have you ever tried baking or toasting it on bread? Now I bet that would be heaven! 😉
